Since the initial launch of the Guardian Browser in January, we’ve made numerous enhancements to its features, functionality, user interface, and process for downloading and running the browser software. These iterative improvements have led to a 30% reduction in candidates’ technical issues since January.
Furthermore, when technical issues occur during exam launch through the Guardian Browser now, our technicians resolve them at a 300% higher rate compared to the legacy extension framework—all without needing to cancel or reschedule the original appointment. This means there are both fewer technical issues and an increased capacity to resolve those that do occur.

Kiosk Mode
Our product team is currently working to bring “Kiosk Mode” functionality to Live+ and Review+ exams launched through the Guardian Browser. When this feature is enabled in an exam, the Guardian Browser goes into full-screen mode, making it impossible for the test-taker to access anything else on their computer until the exam is over. In addition to the existing exam security controls, this feature will be available to program managers and administrators. Stay tuned for more updates!
Coming Soon to the ProctorU Platform
Integrated Chat
The ProctorU Platform has an exciting feature upgrade on the way! By the end of 2023, we will be piloting an enhancement to the way your candidates connect to their proctor.
Currently, candidates must download the Guardian Browser and the Proctor Chat Applet (facilitated through LogMeIn Rescue) to connect and communicate with their proctor. To improve the candidate experience, we are currently working to integrate this functionality into the Guardian Browser—eliminating the need for candidates to download additional software.
This enhancement will:
Streamline and simplify the exam launch process by reducing the number of required software downloads
Reduce the average exam start time by instantaneously initiating the proctor connection process
Improve the candidate experience by building an intuitive chat feature into the Guardian Browser

Coming Soon to the Meazure Exam Delivery Platform
Meazure Exam UI Phase 1
On October 19, we will release Phase 1 of the new exam user interface (UI) for the Meazure Exam Platform. This phase covers multiple choice questions (MCQ’s) and exam tools like the image viewer and notes. The new UI provides a more modern, intuitive, and accessible experience for your candidates. Available as an Exam Shell setting, you will be able to control when your exams are transitioned to the new UI.

ProctorU Platform Maintenance Schedule
We perform monthly maintenance on the ProctorU Platform, using the time to implement vital performance and stability updates. During the scheduled windows, the platform will be completely offline, meaning no one will be able to log in to the platform. You can review the full 2023 maintenance schedule in our support center at any time.
