On June 11 and 12, we hosted two engagement events for our Canadian clients—Engage Toronto and Engage Ottawa. We loved connecting with everyone who joined us and contributed to the conversations.
One resounding theme stood out across both events: We're all stronger when we work together to uphold assessment value, security, and fairness.
Below, find some of the key takeaways that we heard.
Security and Assessment Integrity
Security expectations are rising—and so are the tactics of bad actors.
Proactive strategies are critical, especially when backed by clear definitions of misconduct and its consequences.
There’s strong interest in sharing multi-layered security approaches across programs.
Fairness and Accommodations
Clients are actively working to ensure equitable treatment of all candidates regardless of geography, language, and socio-economic factors.
Several attendees shared how they audit accommodation policies to balance fairness with regulatory compliance.
The Power of Peer Networking
Our discussions revealed just how many challenges our clients share. As one attendee put it: “[There are] lots of similarities in topics between organizations.”
Thank you for being part of the Meazure Learning community. We’ll continue to build spaces—online and off—for these conversations to grow.
Catch Up on Our Recent Product Release Notes
Introduced last month, we’re excited to share our Product Release Notes repository, your centralized hub for staying up to date on the latest product updates. Each release is clearly labeled by date and can be easily filtered to search by product, making it simple to find what you need. Whether you’re looking for the most recent enhancements or reviewing past updates, historical release notes dating back to January 2025 are now accessible in one place.
June 12, 2025 Updates included for the ProctorU Platform, Guardian Browser, and Meazure Exam Platform
We'd like to highlight two of our favorite new features—both aimed at enriching the candidate experience:
The Guardian Browser (2.40.0) now better supports seamless background updates for minor releases, reducing the need for candidates to complete manual updates before starting a session.
The Meazure Exam Platform's new user interface now offers a more personal highlighting experience with an expanded palette, the ability to resize most tools like the calculator, and additional language support within the annotation tools.

Refine Your Meazure Exam Platform Skills
Mastering Exam Forms
Earlier this month, we hosted the second webinar in a series focused on mastering the Meazure Exam Platform. This webinar showed how to:
Streamline exam form creation process
Avoid common pitfalls
Build with greater speed and confidence—using tools already available in your Meazure Exam Platform instance
More than just a how-to demo, this session featured real use cases, pro tips, and expert guidance from our Psychometric, Implementation, and Configuration teams.
In case you missed it, you can still watch the first webinar in this series. Led by our psychometric team, this session included a demonstration on creating and organizing items, utilizing workflow states, and the importance of metadata for exam development. Attendees learned efficient item management practices, including bulk editing and report customization.
We perform monthly maintenance on the ProctorU Platform, using the time to implement vital performance and stability updates. During the scheduled windows, the platform will be completely offline, meaning no one will be able to log in. You can review the 2025 maintenance schedule in our support center at any time.
In the past three months, we've stopped over 1,000 virtual proxy test-takers—and we’re catching more every day. Using the Guardian Browser, we inspect each test-taker’s internet connections and flag activity linked to known remote control servers. This process surfaces 5–10 new threats weekly, which we immediately add to our detection protocols.
If you see an incident classified as “Unpermitted Software/Virtual Assistance – Confirmed,” it likely reflects this type of activity. We believe these proxies are bypassing other proctoring vendors—and we’re confident that we are the only provider aggressively identifying and blocking this threat at scale.
76% of employers value skills they can verify—certificates, credentials, signals of real-world readiness. But only 9% of higher-ed institutions offer microcredential programs to meet that demand.
This gap leaves students facing pressure from the market to adapt and putting pressure on higher-ed programs to better signal their value.
