Updates to the ProctorU Platform
Exam Fulfillment Improvement
We made an enhancement to our proctoring platform to streamline the proctoring process when completing an exam session.
Improved Password Injection Workflow
We fixed an issue where password fields containing no characters broke the password injection workflow. This issue especially impacted Record+ users since there is no proctor to assist test-takers.
External Resource Link Saved in Exam Settings
When editing an exam, URLs added to the resources text box were not being saved in certain circumstances. This issue is now resolved.
Test It Out Improvements
Reporting from the "Test it Out" tool now includes more accurate information related to CPU core count to better communicate system requirements and reasoning for failed checks.
Updates to Guardian Browser
Important Mac OS functionality update
In alignment with Apple functional support, macOS 10.15 (Catalina) is no longer supported by Chromium, which is required to run the Guardian Browser. Beginning in May, test-takers will need to update their macOS software in order to use the Guardian Browser.
Updates to the Meazure Exam Platform
Copy and Paste Formatting Retention
We improved the copy/paste functionality so that any text copied and pasted within the platform response fields and notepads will maintain its existing formatting, so test-takers do not need to engage in rework. To align with security best practices, any text copied from an external resource will have formatting stripped.
Spell Check Improvements for Constructed Response Items
We resolved some issues that impacted misspelled word selection and management. These issues occurred when spell check was enabled for the exam shell and turned on by the test-taker.
Test Center Communication Details
We resolved an issue where the “Reporting Room” test center location information was not populating as expected in emails, which resulted in an incomplete address being provided.
Enhancements to Reports
The “Sitting Date Range” filter was updated so Delivery Windows can be searched by date range in addition to Exam Sessions. Additionally, for programs with user groups, a new filter was added to allow filtering by user group in the Administrators, Booking History, Order History, and Exam Grant reports.
Form Distribution Functionality
We made updates to exam form distribution to achieve parity with Exam Sessions. Now, when using Delivery Windows, all available forms can be set to be evenly distributed across an administration. Additionally, this feature can now be configured at the administration level but is enabled by default in accordance with the pre-existing functionality.

Refined Application Detection Protocols Outcomes
Last month we reported an update in how Meazure Learning detects certain remote-access applications like AnyDesk, TeamViewer, and UltraViewer. As a reminder, the presence of these applications previously triggered a “hard stop” that prevented the exam from launching until they were fully removed. With our latest update, these applications will only be flagged if they are actively externally connected during the exam. We have been monitoring the impact of this change and can happily report that from April 1 – 20 we caught 500+ sessions with a live connection to a remote-control software via this method while also reducing the number of incident reports and candidate friction in over 900 sessions.
Updating Incident Report Categories
On May 1, we will be updating the labels for one of our incident report categories as a result of our live IP connection method. This change allows us to be more accurate and useful for your incident processing teams.
The Incident Report Cateogry previously shown as “Unpermitted Software/Virtual Assistance - During Exam” will now be labeled as “Unpermitted Software/Virtual Assistance – Confirmed”
Rationale: We occasionally detect and terminate the exam prior to launch due to a confirmed suspicious remote-control connection. Additionally, we sometimes detect the suspicious software after the exam is completed.
ProctorU Platform Maintenance Schedule
We perform monthly maintenance on the ProctorU Platform, using the time to implement vital performance and stability updates. During the scheduled windows, the platform will be completely offline, meaning no one will be able to log in. You can review the 2025 maintenance schedule in our support center at any time.
We recently helped clients identify and shut down collusion rings. In one instance, an individual was hired to sit in the room with test-takers and feed them answers in real time. Our detection tools and close collaboration with the client enabled us to take action and resolve the issue swiftly. In another case, a single impersonator was using high-quality fake IDs in an attempt to take exams for over 60 different candidates. Despite the sophistication, we used telemetry data and security investigations to identify the fraudulent testing and put a stop to it.
These cases show how proactive security and strong client partnership are essential to stay ahead of threats.
