Enabling the New UI

When will the new user interface (UI) be available?

The new UI is available today! Our Customer Success team will reach out directly to discuss a timeline and process for enabling the new UI on your exams, taking into account your existing administration windows and exam requirements.

What options do I have for enabling the new UI?

Our Customer Success team can enable the new UI at three different levels, depending on your needs:

  • By account: Enabling the UI at the account level allows for an overarching option without automatically changing any exams.
  • By site (program): The new UI can be rolled out to specific sites or programs, allowing for more targeted implementation.
  • By exam: Each exam will be individually enabled for the new UI, allowing you to transition at your own pace and ensure comfort with the new interface.

These levels allow more control in the rollout timing for your assessments. After our Customer Success team reaches out to discuss timelines, current administration needs, and exam requirements, you’ll work together to plan how and when your program enables the new UI,

 

 

Will enabling the new UI cause any downtime or disruptions?

No, enabling the new exam UI will not cause any downtime or disruptions. The switch is seamless and will not affect your operations or workflows.

Will my existing exam history and data be retained?

Yes. All exam content, previous exam history, and user data will remain unchanged; only the candidate exam interface will be updated.

Are there any system requirements or compatibility considerations that I should keep in mind for the new UI?

No, the system requirements and compatibility considerations will remain the same as those for the legacy version.

Managing Exams With the New UI

How will the new UI impact my current workflow?

The Meazure Exam Platform’s new UI seamlessly replaces the existing UI at launch, ensuring no changes to your current workflow. Features such as break management or proctor pause/resume will continue to function as usual. After your exams are submitted, candidates will still see their exam scores through the legacy interface if it’s configured to display this information.

Does the new UI include any changes to exam format or structure?

The new UI does not affect the exam format, structure, or navigation, but its responsive design ensures optimal display across different screen sizes. On smaller windows, navigational content remains at the top, followed by exam content and responses, with open tools positioned at the bottom of the screen. On standard-sized screens, tools open on the right side and adjust in size based on the number of tools in use.

What if my exam(s) uses item types that aren’t yet supported by the new UI?

We will be continually updating and improving the new UI throughout the year and plan to support all item types by mid-2025. When your exam(s) are eligible to upgrade to the new UI, our Customer Success team will be in touch about timelines and next steps.

How will the platform’s new UI impact accessibility for candidates with disabilities?

The Meazure Exam Platform’s new UI is accessibly designed and functions responsively on various window sizes. It accommodates magnification up to 400% for candidates requiring visual accommodations, and it is fully accessible for screen readers and keyboards. Our regular testing of the platform ensures compliance with accessibility standards.

Additionally, the new annotation tool, improved zoom and magnification on images, and adjustable text size further enhance accessibility for candidates who benefit from visual aids.

What screen readers are recommended with this new candidate experience?

We recommend NVDA, VoiceOver, and JAWS for use with the Meazure Learning testing experience.
