The Star Group Health Insurance plan is designed to offer financial protection and peace of mind by covering a wide range of medical expenses, including hospitalization, surgeries, and other healthcare needs.

Employees working 40+ hours per week are eligible for benefits on the date of hire, on the transfer date to a benefits eligible position, or on the date of any other qualifying event (marriage, birth of a child, etc.) You may enroll your spouse, dependent children, parents, and parent in-laws to your medical plans. Dependent children are eligible for coverage from the date of birth.
The length of time a dependent child is eligible for coverage varies by gender:
- Male children are eligible until they have their own source of income or the date they turn 30 years old—whichever comes first.
- Female children are eligible until they have their own source of income, they get married, or the date they turn 30 years old—whichever comes first.

If you do not submit your enrollment within the 30-day period, you will not be auto-enrolled in any Meazure Learning benefits plans until the following plan year.
Qualifying Life Events
After your initial new hire enrollment period, you may only enroll or make election changes mid-year if you experience a qualified life event such as marriage, birth, adoption, divorce, or an involuntary loss of coverage from another group health plan. Such events must be reported to the HR team in writing via email within 30 days of the life event.
The Star Group Health insurance policy provides a sum insured of ₹ 300,000/- in insurance coverage per employee.
Maternity Coverage
- ₹ 50,000/- for normal delivery
- ₹ 50,000/- for caesarean
Cataract Limit
- Up to ₹ 25,000 INR per eye
Emergency Ambulance
- Up to ₹ 2,500 per policy period

Self-Commute Program
The Self-Commute Program provides eligible employees with a monthly stipend to support their preferred method of daily travel. Transportation such as cycling, walking, carpooling, or public transit encourages a more flexible, healthy, and environmentally conscious lifestyle. - Internal Promotions
Star Health Claims Services is a hassle-free and customer-friendly process that ensures all settlements are processed in a timely manner. As your health insurance specialist, they make cashless claims available across all their network hospitals in India.
- The Star Health website contains a list of network hospitals, including agreed network hospitals.
- Search the network list on their website under "Service Providers" and locate the nearest network hospital to your residence.
- For planned surgery, approach the hospital prior to the date of admission, and they will send the completed pre-authorization form.
- In the pre-authorization form, you are required to furnish your contact number.
- If details are not complete, approval of the authorization request may get delayed.
Cashless Claims Process
- Approach the insurance desk at a network hospital and they will contact Star Health. You can also contact the claims team by dialing 1-800-425-2255 / 1-800-102-4477 or by emailing support@starhealth.in.
- Present your Star Health ID card for identification.
- Submit relevant investigations and doctor's consultation papers to the insurance desk.
- The hospital will verify your identity and submit the pre-authorization form to Star Health.
- The doctors will verify the submitted documents for processing the claim, based on the policy's terms and conditions.
- A field doctor from Star Health may visit the patient at the hospital if required. At the time of discharge, the hospital will send the claim documents to the company, and the final authorized amount will be paid to the hospital.
Note: The insured will bear the cost of non-payable items.
Reimbursement Claim Process
In the case of planned treatments, the insured gives prior intimation about the treatment to the insurer and obtains the claim number.
In case of an emergency admission, the insured can avail claim number within 24 hours of hospitalization. The insured can call the helpline 1-800-103-8318 to obtain the claim number, and you will need to provide required information (i.e., hospital name and patient’s name).
The insured can claim reimbursement of those expenses within 30 days from the date of discharge after submitting the necessary documents.
