We've rounded up the best of 2024, including benchmark metrics and popular content from the year. Plus, we're highlighting our first product updates of 2025.
As we reflect on 2024, one theme stands out: investment in your success. One of our biggest priorities of the year was enhancing our customer and test-taker support. We launched a new Customer Education initiative to provide effective training materials for our products and developed new channels where our resident experts can share their guidance and best practices on a range of topics relevant to you. As a company, we continued to focus on strengthening test security measures and enhancing the user experience—two areas we know are important for both our higher education and professional credentialing customers. The metrics shared here are a direct reflection of our collaborative efforts as partners.
Looking ahead into 2025, we’ll be laser focused on creating the most value possible for you. Our priorities will center on three critical areas—service excellence, exam security, and reliable testing experiences—all supported by ongoing enhancements to our platforms and systems. As always, we welcome your transparent feedback throughout the year to help us ensure our efforts provide value for you and your test-takers.
Thank you for your trust and collaboration. We look forward to continuing to invest in your success in the year ahead.

January 2025 Updates to the ProctorU Platform
Guardian Extension Pilot Update:
The Guardian Extension pilot has proven effective as a secondary troubleshooting workflow for test-takers unable to install or launch the Guardian Browser. Starting mid-February, Guardian Extension will be available as a backup solution for all clients.
If standard troubleshooting with the Guardian Browser fails, proctors can initiate the Guardian Extension as a substitute for test-takers. Test-takers can launch their exams with the extension workflow, which provides comparable exam security features with a few distinct differences. A comparison of the Guardian Browser and the Guardian Extension is available here.
The native Guardian Browser remains the primary, most secure option for most test takers. However, the Guardian Extension has proven to be a valuable backup.
Contact your customer success manager if you prefer to use the Guardian Browser exclusively.
Administrator Dashboard and Client Portal Performance Improvements:
We have been working to improve the user experience for accessing reports in the ProctorU Platform. We are pleased to report that going forward, users accessing the Administrator Dashboard and Client Portal (Exam Dashboard and Single User Exam Dashboard) will enjoy more efficient and faster load times with these reports. Customers will still access the reports in the same way, and the report layout and information will be very similar. (See comparisons below).
For those interested in what exactly was changed, we completed an analysis of our data visualization tools and decided to transition from Tableau to Power BI. While both are excellent tools, Power BI is not only more efficient but also provides internal benefits such as better performance and integration across the Microsoft suite of products.
Please contact your customer success manager if you notice any data discrepancies.
